Frequently Asked Questions
Is in-home personal training safe for seniors?
Yes. In-home personal training is one of the safest ways for seniors to exercise. Sessions are designed around balance, strength, and mobility, using light equipment and controlled movements in a familiar environment. Safety is always the top priority.
Do I need any equipment at home?
No. Our trainers bring all necessary equipment, including resistance bands, light weights, and balance tools. If you already have equipment, we’re happy to incorporate it safely.
What types of exercises are included?
Programs typically include:
- Balance and fall-prevention exercises
- Strength training for daily activities
- Low-impact cardio
- Mobility and flexibility work
Each program is customized to the individual.
Is this appropriate if I haven’t exercised in years?
Absolutely. Many clients are beginners or returning to exercise after a long break. We start at a comfortable pace and progress gradually based on ability and comfort level.
Can training help reduce fall risk?
Yes. Improving balance, leg strength, coordination, and confidence can significantly reduce fall risk. Fall prevention is a core focus of our training programs.
Do you work with clients who have medical conditions?
Yes. We regularly work with clients who have arthritis, joint replacements, balance concerns, or other common age-related conditions. With physician guidance when appropriate, programs are adjusted to stay safe and effective.
Is this the same as physical therapy?
No. Physical therapy is medical treatment prescribed by a doctor. Our services are private-pay fitness programs that complement physical therapy and help clients maintain progress after PT ends.
Does Medicare or insurance cover in-home personal training?
Most insurance plans, including Medicare, do not cover personal training. Our services are private-pay. Many families find the investment worthwhile for maintaining independence and preventing injuries.
How often should seniors train?
Most clients train 2–3 times per week. Frequency depends on goals, schedule, and current fitness level, which we discuss during the initial consultation.
How long is each session?
Sessions are typically 50 minutes, allowing enough time for a complete, unhurried workout while minimizing fatigue.
Can couples train together?
Yes. Couples often train together, which can be motivating and cost-effective. Programs are still personalized to each individual.

Our trainers are certified professionals with experience working with seniors. They are trained to prioritize safety, communication, and individualized programming.
